Our Ginger and Rainbow Bridge.... :(
by Sentinel ini have been remiss in posting any updates on my home situation, with my husbands health issues.
and now, another stressful event has occured, and our beloved "ginger" (three year old cat) will be put to sleep on the 29th.. hubby has been undergoing test after test, and meanwhile has been admitted to the hospital here twice.
the first time was related to the growth in his chest and his ventral hernia; the second time was due to a seriously infected cat bite.

We are trying to concentrate on what is going on with hubby's health and his upcoming surgery in the following weeks to come. "June" (our younger cat--a Tuxedo) is remarkable. She is giving us both so much love and attention. It's like "she knows" what we need.
Cats DO know. Spike (the littler of our two cats) always knows when Clare is ill and last month when she had a bad period Spike spent the whole time either sat on her lap or cuddled up to her tummy keeping her warm. Clare has been suffering from the after effects of glandular fever for the last year and every time her glands flare up Spike is always more clingy around her. When I'm ill he doesn't give a toss but there ya go. -

something I've noticed...
by LuckyNun init's much more fun to anti-witness.
i used to hate going out in service, peddling a religion i didn't believe in.
but telling people about how the jw religion is full of shit?

you may be onto something here. I have spent about 4 hours this week anti JWing and I never spent that much time in the service per week!

they are saying that by doing something incompatible with witness beliefs you are dissasociating yourself.
At one time in the UK being seen going into a polling station to vote was seen in the same light

I agree with double edge, it's a cultural not racial thing. I used to work in a Chinese restaurant and they were very insular. They were Chinese Malaysians and didn't get the whole concept of making people want to come back. The younger people there did get it and the place was popular because the food was great and the guy running the bar was awesome

Most Popular JW Jobs???
by Funchback inwhat are some of the more popular jobs jws seem to flock to in your opinion?
personally, the latest trend in my area is school bus driver as well as school bus monitor.
i can think of six jws who drive school buses and two who are monitors.

these are some of the more assanine comments i've heard on the board. but judging from your picture i'm going to assume it really IS you and that you are mentally challenged.
I think by 'here' he meant where he lives not here on the board, and if so he has a point. Most dubs are in shite jobs because they are discouraged from further education and accept the sacrifice in favour of pioneering

I met someone online, a Canadian girl actually from Montreal, while I was going through the messy death throws of a 5 year relationship. I decided I needed to get away for a while after the relationship died so booked my tickets to Canada and came over. I got on pretty well with her but her 3 kids were truly demonic. I'd booked my tickets to stay 3 weeks, 2 days later I decided not to stay the full time at her place and backpacked up to Quebec and down to toronto, coming back a week early.
Meeting someone online is a bit sketchy, you really cannot tell how compatible you are purely from what you read from a screen and hear on the phone. You live and learn.

Family Coat Of Arms: Does Anybody Have Them?
by ColdRedRain in.
my family has 3, and i'm considering getting a tattoo of one of them on my right arm.
which one do you like better, and do you have a coat of arm's?
-

I haven't followed the genealogy of this coat of arms so it may not be related but here it is.
My mother's side of the family had a coat of arms and the family in Cornwall was huge so tracing the lineage would be a monster of a job, but the coat of arms was a blue background with 3 blackbirds (Tinks)
